In addition, we set ourselves rigorous internal targets that are an integral part of our operations. These are known as SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) targets. By continuously analysing and reviewing health and safety procedures, while at the same time optimising our operational processes and procedures so we can limit our carbon footprint as well as seek out the most technologically advanced products for a market that is ever increasing in demand to be safer, cleaner, and more environmentally friendly, our SHEQ targets ensure we create a safe environment for our employees while striving to meet and exceed customer demands at all times in terms of quality, delivery and reliability.

 

Furthermore, Unichem continues to make good progress as a Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) company, and is fully committed to providing equal opportunities and employment equity to all existing and future employees and actively promoting preferential procurement of locally produced goods and services from Exempted Micro Enterprises (EME’s), Qualified Small Enterprises (QSE’s) and black-owned and black women-owned enterprises.
